Overtoujay caught the eye last time out and looks worth an each-way wager at 10/1 in the 2.05 at Doncaster today.
Charlie Pogson’s gelding is yet to trouble the judge in seven starts but posted his best effport to date when fifth of 12 ro Amber Gambler over 2m 4f at Market Rasen last month.
After being held-up and hitting the third he made good headway two from home and kept on to be nearest at the finish and beaten 11 1/3 lengths.
He finsihed 3 1/4 lengths behind Improved, who is second favourite for this, but can be backed at double the odds of that rival.
That makes him look overpriced if taking anothet step forward off an unchanged mark, especially as he was sent off shorter in the betting than than Improved in that race.
The step back up to 3m also looks sure to suit given how he finsihed off the race and a big run looks on the cards.
