Party Royal worth a punt at 14/1

Party Royal looks to have plenty going for him in the 4.10 at Carlisle today and makes plenty of each-way appeal at 14/1.

Mark Johnston’s gelding is a tough sort who won twice on the turf last year.

His last success came in a class 3 handicap at Pontefract where he made all and ran on gamely to beat African Oil by a head off a rating of 84.

The four-year-old went on to finish a cracking third in the class Lincoln Trial at Wolverhampton on seasonal reapperance off 85, and although he failed to build on that in his next five runs Party Royal shaped as if coming back to form last time out when third at Haydock four days ago.

The son of Royal Applause looks well weighted in this class 4 contest if he can build on that, as he is now 3lb lower than when last successful in a higher grade.

His stable also boast a decent strike rate at the track, and with the mile trip and quick ground are certainly ideal, Party Royal looks to have everything in his favour to run a big race in the hands of Silvestre De Sousa.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Party Royal (14/1 BetVictor, Coral, Ladbrokes, Stan James – BOG)
