Bolton’s record at home this season is dreadful and Stoke look great value at 2/1 to inflict even more misery on the Trotters at the Reebok this afternoon (3pm KO).
Wanderers have so far failed to win in front of their supporters and have actually not yet picked up a single point at home.
The two side’s last met at Wembley back in April, when Stoke strolled to a 5-0 FA Cup semi-final victory.
Since then it has all been down hill for Bolton and they have lost 13 of 16 league games.
Their opponents have been pretty solid all season but have lost their last three away league games, conceding nine goals and netting just once.
However they are by far the stronger side and have players capable of exploiting a very poor Bolton back line.
Manager Tony Pulis made nine changes when his side travelled to Israel on Thursday to take on Maccabi Tel Aviv, yet they were still good enough to win 2-1.
The decision to rest key players means that they will be fresh for this afternoon, and I think the Potters look a great punt at 2/1 to bag all three points.
