Prodigality is well-weighted now switched to the all-weather in the 2.30 Lingfield at Lingfield today and looks worth a punt at 7/1 to take advantage and get back in the winners’ enclosure.
Ron Harris’ charge showed progressive form throughout 2012 when winning twice and also ran well in some competitive handicaps, including when an excellent sixth of 20 to Doc Hay in the Portland at Doncaster.
The son of Pivotal the made a winning return to action this year when beating Justino in a conditions congtest at Warwick where he only had to be driven out to score by 1 1/4 lengths off an official rating of 95 .
He then ran a bit below par when a fair 11th fo 20 to Move In Time at Doncaster, but quickly bounced when putting in a cracking run to finish third of 15 to Mass Rally at York off a mark of 100 and backed that up with a nose second to Psicean at Goodwood off the same mark.
Since then the five-year-old has been a bit hit and miss, but he did run a cracker in the class 2 Sky Bet Dash at Yorak when fourth of 20 to the ultra-progressive Tropics off 100 and shaped well last time out when fifth of 21 to Morache Music in a class 2 affair at at Doncaster where he kept on well to be beaten just 2 lengths off a mark of 95.
The five-year-old now gets into this lower grade class 3 contest off the same mark, and that gives him major claims at the weights.
Another plus is that he has winning form to his name on the ploytrack earlier in his career plus a good draw in stall 3 from where he should be able to get a good position to stalk the pace and hopefully pounce late.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Prodigality (7/1 bet365, BetVictor, Hills, Stan James – BOG)
