Shattered Love looks to have plenty going for her in the 6.40 at Punchestown today.

Gordon Elliott’s mare was a very useful Grade 3 winning hurdelr who has takne her form to another level since going chasing.

She has won five of her seven starts over the larger obstacles, finishing runner-up on the two other occasions.

Shattered Love enjoyed her finest hour at the Cheltenham Festival when easily beating Terrefort by seven lengths in the Grade 1 JLT.

She had the reopposing Finian’s Oscar well behind in fifth and the winner has gone on to land a Grade 1 at Aintree in good style to give the form a boost.

The selection has since run really well to go down by just a length to Au Bounm Photo in a Grade 1 over 2m 4f at Fairyhouse where she stuck to the task gamely having lost momentum when not meeting the last right.

Judge on that the step back up to 3m, over which she won a Grade 1 at Leopardstown prior to Cheltenham, will hold no fears.

I think she is capable of turning the tables with the winner and Shattered Love is a really tough sort who looks sure to give it her best shot in the hands of Jack Kennedy who is 6-7 on here.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Shattered Love (6/1 bet365 – BOG, enhanced place terms 1/4 odds 1,2,3)
