Returning Glory looks on a potentially handy mark on handicap debut in the 2.40 at Southwell today and worth siding with at 9/1.
This Suzi Best trained four-year-old was a fairly useful maiden on flat for Saeed Bin Suroor and rated 80 at his peak.
He has had just three quick runs over hurdles and it’s the first of those at Ffos Las which makes him of interest in this.
Returning Glory led until getting outpaced two from home and finishing a 16 length third to Toshima in a class 4.
The winner has won twuce since, with the last of those coing off a rating of 117, whilst the second home Surrey Blaxe finsihed runner-up next time out off 112.
That form reads well in realtion to this class 5 affair and to me suggests an opening mark of 96 for Returning Glory is exploitable.
He also appeals as the type to do better now going down the handicap route and looks to have been brought along with that in mind.
