The well-handicapped Rezwaan was a massive eye-catcher last time out and at 11/2 is of major interest in the 6.30 at Kempton this evening.
Murty McGrath’s gelding was held-up well off the pace by Joe Fanning in a 1m 2f contest at L before making good late headway under tender handling to finish a never nearer fourth of 13 to Conducting.
He was not knocked about whatsoever and finished with running left in him – suggesting that he would be back in the winners’ enclosure sooner rather than later.
The sic-year-old now gets into this off the same mark of 62, and that is 6lb lower than when registering his last success at Lingfield last May.
That gives him a massive chance from a handicapping perspective, and he now has the services of Shane Kelly in the saddle who rode him to success that day and knows how ton get the best out of him.
He laos significantly drops back to a more suitable journey of a mile – a trip over which he has registered four of his five career successes.
Two of those wins have also come over today’s course and distance, and everything looks in place for a huge run.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 4pts win Rezwaan (13/2 Sky Bet)
