Road To Dubai and SDS a potent combination

Road To Dubai looks worth a punt at 6/1 on handicap debut in the 4.50 at Nottingham today now stepped up in trip.

George Scott’s colt has shaped with plenty of promise in three runs without being unduly knocked about.

In the first of those at Newbury he showed pace to track the leaders after dwelling at the start before weakeing last on to finish a 6 3/4 length seventh of 14 to Sound Bar.

He finsihed just 1/2 a length behind the fifth home Eagle Creek and that one has since come out an bolted up in the manner of an above average sort.

Road to Dubai backed that up with a keeping on fifth at Wolverhampton over 7f and again caught the eye last time out over the same trip when staying on to be a never nearer fourth to Mitigate at Lingfield.

The form of the latter has worked out quite well with the third home Arctic Sea having gone on to score on handicap debut off 69 and the runner-up and fifth home having subsequently made the frame.

Road to Dubai has been allotted an opening handicap mark of 70 on the back of those runs and that looks exploitable with the step up to 1m 2f looking likely to suit.

He also now gets the services of Silvestre De Sousa in the saddle for the first time and that looks siginificant as he has a near 43% strike rate when teaming up with the yard in the past 12 months (three wins from seven rides).

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Road To Dubai (6/1 bet365 – BOG)
