Midhmaar makes plenty of appeal at Nottingham

Midhmaar looks nicely treated on the pick of his form and worth siding with at 13/2 in the 3.50 at Nottingham today.

Owens Burrows’ charge ran a blinder first time up last season when runner-up to Czabo in the class 2 Easher Cup at Sandown off a mark of 84.

He stuck to the task well to be beaten 2 1/4 lengths and the winner, from whom he was receiving just 1lb, has since gone on to taste Group success to be rated 99.

There have also been plenty of subsequent winners come out of the race and the form reads really well in the context of this contest.

Midhmaar backed that up with a solid second off 89 at the same venue and was then far from disgraced when eighth of 16 to Primitivo in the King George V Stakes at Royal Ascot off 90.

This class 3 affair represents a drop in class and the selection is able to race in it off 89.

It gives him major claims at the weights and his run in the Esher Cup shows that he has the ability to go well fresh.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Midhmaar (13/2 Sky Bet – BOG)
