Silk Sari is improving at a rate of knots and rates a solid bet at 11/2 in the 2.55 at Ascot today.
Luca Cumani’s filly looked one to keep onside when putting in an impressive display on her return to action in an apprentice handicap at Doncaster and beating Astra Hall by 2 3/4 lengths on soft ground.
The four-year-old relished the testing conditions at Town Moor, cruising into contention two from home before quickening clear to put the race to bed and score with tons in hand.
The daughter of Dalakhani then ran a cracker in the Group 3 Pinnacle Stakes ay Haydock when finishing a close up third of 11 to Sultanina and was also not disgraced when fifth of 9 to Pomology in the Group 2 Lancashire Oaks at the same venue.
Silk Sari then got back on the winning trail in a listed contest at Newbury before posting a career-best perfroamnce last time out on good-to-soft ground at Doncaster when running away with the Group 2 Park Hill Stakes.
She travelled ominously well through that contest and after cruising into contention three from home quickened clear at the furlong marker to slam Groovejet by 5 lengths.
It was an ultra impressive performance , and one which suggested that Silk Sari would be well up to winning a Group 1 contest.
This one doesn’t look the strongest, and with the ground holding no fears and the prospect of even more to come I find her impossible to oppose.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Silk Sari (11/2 bet365, BetVictor, Coral, William Hill – BOG)
