Sir Hamilton value at 9/1

Sir Hamilton returned to form when runner-up last time out, so off an unchanged mark makes plenty of appeal at 9/1 in the 4.30 at Windsor today.

That run came on heavy ground at Yarmouth where the Luke Mcjannet trained four-year-old led two from home before being headed inside the last to go down by 2 3/4 lengths to Purgatory off a rating of 68.

The pair pulled nicely clear of the third home and the winner is a thriving sort who has now won three of his last four starts.

It was an effort which suggested Sir Hamilton’s time was near and having started life off in handicaps off a mark of 87 he is undoubtedly well-weighted at present.

He also has a good strike rate in class 5 company having won twice and been placed once in four starts.

The yard has also saddled two winners and two placed from its last eight runners and soft ground clearly holds no fears for Sir Hamilton.

With Ray Dawson also taking off 5lb with his claim, I think he has far more going for him in this than his odds woukd suggest.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Sir Hailton (9/1 bet365, BetVictpr, Paddy Power, Ladbrokes, William Hill – BOG)
