The Bloomsbury Ballroom was the venue for an evening showcasing some of the finest Disco, Soul, Dance, Rock and Roll and even 80’s classic hits, as Octopus TV presented “R-J Gibb and Guests showcase ”
R-J Gibb , son of the Legendary Brother Gibbs singer Robin, performed songs from his famous fathers back catalogue , as well as showcasing new material from his forthcoming EP. Robin-John, who was accompanied by original keyboard player Blue Weaver thrilled the intimate crowd at the Bloomsbury Ballroom, kicking off the night with “How Deep is Your Love ?”. Later he joined The Egiziano Brothers AKA “Italian Bee Gees” who, if you closed your eyes could have easily been mistaken for the originals.#
The night played host to several other highly talented acts from across many genres of music, the first being Manchcurian newcomer Joel Rothwell, whose energetic 20 minute set was both entertaining and catchy … certainly one to watch out for in the future
Other notable guest performances came from 1980’s salsa hit band Modern Romance’s singer, Andy Kyriacou who smashed out the bands hits to an enthusiastic crowd as well as Rock & Roll artist Jesse Ray.
