Smuggler’s Stash worth a punt at 10s

Smuggler’s Stash has underfoot conditions to suit and looks worth a punt at 10/1 in the 3.20 at Carlisle today.

The gelding was a point winner in Ireland and ran well on chasing debut for trainer Rose Dobbin when chasing home the progressive I Just Know in a class 4 contest on soft ground at Hexham.

He then went one better at the saame venue when staying on strongly in the mud to beat Landmeafortune by five lengths off a mark orf 95.

Smuggler’s Stacsh was out up 8lb for that success and although only fifth of 16 off it last time out at Wetherby he made a bad mistake three from home on good-to-soft ground which may have been too lively.

This afternoon’s conditions and stiff track are sure to suit much better and he is also now reunited with Craig Nichol, who steered him to his last success, having been dropped 1lb to 102.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Smuggler’s Stash (10/1 bet365 – BOG)
