Storm Rock ready to rumble at Donny

Storm Rock looks to have plenty going for him in the Lincoln Handicap at Doncaster today (2.45) and worth a wager at 12/1.

Harry Dunlop’s colt progressed throughout last season and put in a taking performance when  scoring on soft ground at Leicester back in October on return from a break.

Storm Rock travelled well throughout and only had to be ridden out to easily beat Pintura by 2 3/4 lengths off a mark of 87.

The four-year-old went on to run very well off a revised rating of 102 when beaten just a neck by You’re Fired at Nottingham and now  now meets the rival on 2lb better terms.

Although not at his best when last seen in action on the Tapeta surface at Wolverhampton, Storm Rock will appreciate the return to the turf and has been given a break to freshen-up.

He also returns to action off what looks a owrkable mark of 100, and his Leicseter win shows that he goes well fresh.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Storm Rock (12/1 generally available – use BOG firms paying 5 places)
