Stroll in the park for England

England’s bid to secure World Cup qualification continues tonight (8pm KO, Live on ITV1) with a trip to San Marino and they are a top priced 1/50 with BetVictor to win a match which looks a stroll in the park.

The Three Lions head and shoulders above their opponents who have not won any of their last 50 international matches and scored just 7 goals in that run.

However backing them at 1/50 makes no appeal whatsoever to the normal punter, and I think there is a bit of value to be had elsewhere.

The first is in the correct score market where many are predicting England will win by at 5 without reply.

I really don’t think that they will be going all out at this stage of the season to try and produce a goal fest and fancy them to win 3-0 or 4-0.

Ladbrokes will give you a best of 13/2 about the former, while Boylesports go 11/2 about the latter.

The second half to produce the most goals at a standout 21/20 with Hills also looks well worth a wager as it has been the case in 8 of San Marino’s last 10 games.

Finally, having taken the view that England will not score more than 4 in this, under 4.5 goals also looks a decent punt at 13/10 with Hills.
