Threesome for Doncaster

10/1 Prime Exhibit worth a punt

Prime Exhibit looks cracking each-way value at 10/1 in the 2.00 Doncaster.

Richard Fahey’s gelding has been given a chance by the handicapper and is now 5lb below his last winning mark.

He showed he was up to winning at this level when a fine second in the the 2010 Lincoln off a mark of 91, and off 89 today must take all the beating having shaped as if ready to strike in his last two runs.

The six-year-old finished an eye-catching staying on 8th of 24 when beaten just under four lengths by Cheveton in a 6f contest two runs ago over a trip which is short of his best and followed that up with a solid 9th of 18 to Vainglory at York.

That race was over a mile, and after being ridden to take the lead two from home he only weakened out of contention late on to be beaten 5 1/2 lengths.

The run suggested that a drop back in trip to today’s 7f journey would see him in a far better light, and with champ elect Paul Hanagan in the saddle and a good draw in stall three everything looks in place for a huge run.

Get ready for a 25/1 Demolition job

The November Handicap (3.10) is the big betting race on the final day of the flat season at Doncaster today and Demolition makes plenty of each-way appeal at 25/1.

The gelding had some top class form in big handicaps last season when trained by Richard Fahey which included an excellent third to Wigmore Hall in the ultra competitive John Smith’s Cup at York.

He was beaten just 1 1/2 lengths that day by Michael Bell’s classy colt off a mark of 92 and races off just a 1lb higher mark today.

Now in the care of Noel Wilson, who used to train before his move to Fahey, he showed that he was in terrific shape when turning what looked a decent handicap at Nottingham into a procession on his latest start.

He powered clear that day to slam Absinthe by 3 1/2 lengths, and a 5lb rise in the weights looks lenient judged by the manner in which he went about his business.

Given that he has proven form in big field handicaps and can usually be relied upon to run his race he looks too big at the 25/1 on offer and with many firms paying 1/4 odds 1,2,3,4,5 he looks well worth an each-way interest.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Demolition 925/1 generally available – use BOG firms paying 1/4 odds 1,2,3,4,5)

8/1 Eton Rifles can gun down rivals

Eton Rifles has been in terrific form this season and looks good value at 8/1 to sign off with a win in the 3.40 at Doncaster.

The gelding was brought back to his best by David Elsworth to win a valuable handicap at Goodwood and looked better than ever when winning a listed event at the Curragh on his latest start.

He makes his first start for Stuart Williams this afternoon and there is no reason to believe that he won’t go well for his new yard with conditions in his favour.

The six-year-old does have a bit to find with Our Johnathan who beat him two lengths in the Ayr Gold Cup but he didn’t have the best on the draw that day and is fancied to turn the tables.

He certainly looks the better value of the pair at 8/1 – almost 3 times the price of Kevin Ryan’s charge – and at those odds looks an each-way steal.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Eton Rifles (8/1 bet365, Ladbrokes – BOG)
