7/1 Emman Bee ready to sting bookies
Emman Bee was a real eye-catcher last time out and is of major interest at 7/1 in the 5.10 at Kempton.
John Gallagher’s filly had no luck in-running whatsoever on her nursery debut over 7f at Leicester where after travelling strongly throughout she found herself short of room when trying two make her move two from home and had to be switched a couple of times to try and find an opening.
By the time a gap did appear it was all too late but she did stay on really well without being unduly punished to finish just over a four length 5th of 17 to Love Tale, suggesting that a step up in trip to today’s journey of a mile would bring about further improvement.
Prior to that run she had shown promise in three maiden runs, and despite flashing her tail when beaten a neck into third at Warwick two starts ago there didn’t seem anything wrong wity her attitude at Leicester and it could well be that it was inexperience that caused her to react in such a manner.
Connections seem to have found her a weak looking race for her to hopefully break her duck at the fifth time of asking, and with the handicapper leaving her unchanged on a mark of 64 she certainly looks well enough treated to do so.
Providing she takes to the all-weather surface she looks sure to run a massive race and take all the beating.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Emman Bee (7/1 bet365 – BOG)
9/2 Cut The Cackle ready to cash-in on reduced mark
Cut The Cackle has become dangerously well treated and makes plenty of appeal at 9/2 in the 5.40 Kempton after shaping nicely last time out.
The mare landed a 7f handicap here last year off a mark of 70 when trained by Peter Winkworth and is now able to run off just 54.
Now in the care of Richard Guest she put in her best effort for a long time last time out when finishing with a real rattle over course and distance to be beaten just 1 1/2 lengths by Glastoberry, and to me that effort suggested that she was now ready to take advantage of the assessor’s leniency and belatedly get back in the winners’ enclosure.
If she does build on that run then there is little doubt that she is absolutely thrown-in from a handicapping perspective, and another plus is that she has a good draw in stall five.
Her chances in this line-up are impossible to get away from, and for me she has to be one of the best bets on the card.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Cut The Cackle (9/2 bet365 – BOG)
Islesman too big to ignore at 10s
Islesman is only 2lb above his last winning mark and looks overpriced at 10/1 in the 7.10 at Kempton after shaping really well last time out.
Heather Main’s gelding got no luck in running whatsoever when finishing fifth of 14 to Loyalty over course and distance, finding himself with nowhere to go when trying to make his move from off the pace two furlongs from home.
When a gap did eventually materialise he ran on well, but the pack had flown and although beaten just over six lengths at the line he ran far better than the bare result suggests.
Prior to that he had put in a career best when winning over course and distance back in June, only to be harshly disqualified and place second.
That win came off a mark of 78, and the handicapper has given him a massive chance by dropping him a 1lb since his last run to 80.
To me he is more than capable of scoring off that mark, and granted better luck in running he must go close.
At the 10/1 on offer he looks cracking each-way value.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Islesman (bet365, Paddy Power, Victor Chandler – BOG)
