Villa too big at 12/1 to beat City

Aston Villa look worth a punt at the 12/1 on offer with William Hill to cause an upset and win their away game at Manchester City today (5.30pm KO, Live on Sky Sports 1).

City have been far from convincing of late, whereas Villa have been resurgent since Tim Sherwood took over as manager.

They won their last league game away at Spurs, and put in a cracking performance to beat Liverpool 2-1 last weekend to get to Wembley for the FA Cup final.

Christian Benteke has also rediscovered his scoring touch and is on fire at the moment.

The Belgian has scored nine goals in last seven games, and netted in games away to Manchester United and Spurs.

He was also on target in last week’s FA Cup semi-final against Liverpool, and with Vincent Company missing from the City defence he will go into this game brimming with confidence and ready to wreak havoc.

Paddy Power go a standout 11/1 about Benteke in the first goalscorer market, and given his current form that looks cracking each-way value and well worth a wager.
