Voix D’eau worth siding with at Southwell

Voix D’eau has some strong form to his namme and looks worth siding with at 9/1 in the 3.10 at Southwell today.

Harry Fry’s charge landed a competitive eight-runner clas 1 handicap at Cheltenham last April when staying on well to beat Art Mauresque by 1 1/2 lengths off a mark of 145.

He went on to finish third at Haydock off 150 and a de et third to Art Mauresque at Chepstow off 148.

The seven-year-old is now able to race in this class 2 affair off 145 again and comes into the contest on the back of an improved effort when beaten 3 1/2 lengths by Ideliketheoption at Market Rasen.

That was a big step back in the right direction and if building on it Voix D’eau looks weighted to run a big race.

He also goes well for amateur jockey Michael Legg, who has won twice and been placed on him once from five starts, and takes off a useful 5lb with his claim.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Voix D’eau (9/1 generally availble – use BOG firms)
