Promoter Frank Warren has announced 2 major world title shows for early 2012 and both bills will be televised live on BoxNation Sky ch456 and Virgin ch546.
The first will feature WBO light-Heavyweight champ Nathan Cleverly defending has title against a yet to be named opponent on Saturday 25th February at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena. This will be the 24yo first fight in his home city since featuring on the undercard of Calzaghe v Kessler in 2007.
The next show will feature WBO interim Lightweight champ Ricky Burns making hsi first defence of the title he won against Aussie Michael Katsidis at Wembley Arena in November. Burns is the first Scottish fighter in Nearly 2 decades to win world titles at 2 weights. He will take on a yet to be name opponent at the Barhead Arena in Glasgow on Saturday 10th March.
