Yeeoow can sprint to success at Nottingham

Yeeoow scored in good style last time out and is strongly fancied at 7/2 to follow up in the 3.40 at Nottignham today.

Karl Burke’s gelding landed a competitive 15-runner handicap at Ascot back in May 2013 off a mark of 90, and  run a number of solid races to be placed last year including when runner-up to Goldream in a 21-runner class 2 handicap at Newmarket off 90 and third at Doncaster off 93.

The six-year-old has looked as good as ever this year, and after finishing a cracking 2 1/4 length third of 11 to Out Do in a class 2 contest at York took advantage of a drop in grade to score an overdure success at Pontefract last time out.

Yeeoow ran on strongly to beat Signore Piccolo by a neck in a class 4 affair after not getting the clearest of runs, and although now up 3lb to a mark of 87 in this higher grade class 3 contest remains well-treated on the pick of his form.

The rise is also offest by the 3lb claim of Joey Haynes, so in effect Yeeoow is a running off 84 and is a winner without a penalty.

This also isn’t the strongest of contests, and with underfoot conditions fine, this looks a nice opportunity for the Ontoawinner owned gelding to go in again.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Yeeoow (7/2 bet365, Sky Bet – BOG)
