Zvezda’s Oaks claims are Cystal clear

Crystal Zvezda oozed class when winning in sensational style on her seasonal reappearance and is strongly fancied to land a cracking renewal of the Investec Oaks at Epsom today (4.30).

Sir Michael Stoute’s filly came form last to first to land a 1m 2f contest at Newbury when slamming Montalcinmo by 3 1/2 lengths.

After being restrained at the start by jockey Ryan Moore, Crystal Zvezda made smooth headway two from home and despite not getting the clearest of runs stormed clear to win going away by 3 1/2 lengths under hand riding.

It was a most taking performance and Crystal Zvezda should have stacks for improvement to come  given it was just her third career start.

The daughter of Shamardal did is also a half-sister to connections’ very smart 1m 4f performers Crystal Capella and Hillstar, so the extra two furlongs Crystal Zvezda now tackles should be ideal

Her handler also knows what is required to win the race having saddled Fair Salina (1978) and Unite (1987) to victory, and with Richard Hughes taking over in the saddle she looks to have the ideal profile to land this claasic contest.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Crystal Zvezda (4/1 bet365, William Hill – BOG)
