A packed out York Hall last night saw another superb all action bill from Francis and George Warren’s Queensberry Promotions with a great performance from Streatham’s Leon Williams who won the British Cruiserweight Title on a majority decision over Rob Norton. Williams in a tough fight did all the forcing and Norton the former champ just kept holding the whole fight, but Williams kept coming forward and with virtually the whole crowd behind him was victorious.

Another fighter who brought a load of support with him was Cromer Super-Bantamweight Ryan Walsh who won the vacant English Title on points, beating Melksham’s Liam Rickards over 10 rounds (100-90, 100-90 and 99-91). Walsh was in control throughout the fight with Richards sustaining a cut in the 8th, Ryan had extra family support with his 2 brothers Liam and Michael in his corner too. Another victory for “Team Walsh” and the “Farmy Army”.

With a great undercard featuring the pro debut of Peckham Welterweight Johnny “Pexican” Garton who beat Danny Dontchev of Tooting on points over 4 rounds (40-36)

Another Welterweight bout on the bill was Penge’s Bradley “Super” Skeet he also brought a lot of support with him and he out pointed Scunthorpe’s Steve Spence over 4 rounds (40-36).

Mile End Light-Welterweight Dean “Irish Lightning” Byrne fought in front of a home crowd beating Michael Frontin on points over 8 rounds (78-74) with Frontin sustaining a cut over the left eye in the 6th.

Results in brief – Lightweight Liam Shinkwin from Bushey points win 40-36 over Robin Deakin and Croydon Light-Welterweight Danny Davis dropped Tottenham’s Mark McKray in the 4th with ref Richie Davis stopping the fight a good TKO win for Davis in his 2nd pro fight.
