Well-treated Kindlelight Storm worth a punt at 11/1

Kindlelight Storm has slipped to a handy mark and makes plenty of appeal at 11/1 in the 4.10 at Chelmsford City today.

Nick Littmoden’s gelding rattled up a four-timer at Wolverhampton last year, with the last two of those successes coming off a handicap mark of 68.

The five-year-old now gets into this off 5lb lower (63) having shaped well when a never nearer fourth of nine to Brave Decision in a claimer at Lingfield on his penultimate start.

He was held-up well off the pace that day and after being forced to make a move out wide kept on under tender handling to be beaten just 1 1/2 lengths.

Kindlelight Storm now meets the winner on 3lb better terms, and although he could finish just sixth of 11 to Coiltte Cailin at Wolverhampton last time out he was never put in the race at any stage and was forced to make a move out wide under a far from inspired ride by John Egan.

I am happy to put a line through that effort, and with Ashley Morgan now taking over in the saddle whose claim takes another 3lb off Kindlelight’s back he looks weighted to run a huge race on the pick of his form.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Kindlelight Storm (11/1 bet365, BetVictor, Coral, Ladbrokes, William Hill – BOG)
