Loud races off a career-low mark in the 1.40 at Southwell today and makes plenty of appeal at 13/2 to take advantage and land the spoils now returned to the fibresand surface.

The gelding had two runs at the track when trained by Mark Johnston, winning a class 5 contest by 1 3/4 lengths over this afternoon’s 7f trip off a mark of 69 and finishing a solid fourth behind Realize in a class 4 contest off 74.

Now in the care of Amy Weaver, he is able to race off just 62 in this class 5 handicap – 7lb lower than when last successful.

It gives him outstanding claims from a handciapping perpsective, especially with Connor Beasley in the saddle taking another 3lb off his back.

The four-year-old has also been running better than his form figures suggest of late, and the return to this surface gives him first class claims of getting back on the winning trail.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Loud (13/2 William Hill- BOG)
