8/1 Twirling Magnet too well-treated to ignore

Twirling Magnet has become dangerously well-treated at looks worth a wager at 8/1 in the 2.15 at Ludlow today.

Jonjo O’Neill’s gelding landed back-tp-back hunter chases at this venue and Newbury in the early part of 2015 off an official rating of 140 and went on to finish a fair fourth in a class 2 handicap at Stratford off 138.

The 11-year-old also ran well to finish runner-up in two hunter chases back in the spring off 127 and when third in a class 3 contest at Straford off the saem rating five starts back.

Twirling Magnet has also shaped better than the bare result suggests in hot class 3 handicaps at Cheletenham (twice) and Sandown prior to disappoiting baldy when pulled-upo at Watrwick last time out.

He is now able to race in this lower grade class 4 affair off a rating of just 113, a massive 27lb lower than when last victorious, and his toung rider also takes off another 7lb with his claim.

That makes him potentially thrown-in on the pick of his form in what is arguably the weakest race he has contested for some time at a track where he is 1-1.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Twirling Magnet (6/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
