Mr Cardle makes plenty of appeal at 20/1

Mr Cardle looks nicely treated on the pick of his form and worth an each-way wager at 20/1 in the 2.50 at Ludlow today.

The eight-year-old has some useful form in bumpers, including when runner-up to Uban Hymn, and posted some solid efforts in handicap hurdles in 3015 when in the care of Oliver Sherwood.

They included when third of Exeter off a mark of 95 and a 5 length runner-up at Huntingdon off the samem rating.

Having been once rated as high as 103 he now has his first start for trainer Steve Flook off a career-low mark of just 89.

That gives him a big shout at the weights and although he now has his first start under rules for 333 days he has shaped shaped quite well in three recent runs in points so will not be found wanting through lack of fitness.

The stable also had a winner the other day and with his rider taking off another 7lb with his claim Mr Cardle looks weighted to run a big race off just 10st 6lb and overpriced at the odds on offer.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Mr Cardle (20/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
