We go to Leeds for the first time on Saturday, October 12 – and the show features one of the city’s first stars of bareknuckle boxing.
Dean ‘Smudger’ Smith has been with us from the early days and fought all the best with us. He got in there with James Connelly, Tony Lafferty, Sean George and more – and now he’s back with us.
‘Smudger’ is fighting on the show in his home town that’s topped by his old pal Scott McHugh.
‘Smudger’ introduced ‘The Mute’ to bareknuckle boxing and has seen him go on to join the sport’s Hall of Fame.
Scott meets Liam Rees at the John Charles Centre for Sport next month and it’s going to be noisy there !
We have been taking BYB Europe around the UK and the response of the public has been brilliant.
We’ve had sell-out shows in Wolverhampton and Cardiff and we expect Leeds to sell out as well.
There are some tickets left – but they won’t be around for long !
There will be more shows around Europe as well.
Mike Vazquez, the owner and president of BYB Extreme Fighting Series, was at the Cardiff show last month and loved every minute of it.
The atmosphere was electric throughout the night and Mike says he wants to put on more shows throughout Europe to help this great show of ours continue to grow.
I have to say that Mike and Greg Bloom, the CEO of BYB Extreme Fighting Series, and the rest of the team have been a pleasure to work with.
They share our vision for the sport that we built over the last few years and there’s no doubt that the best days of BYB are to come, so watch this space !
Until next week
