Two of my least favourite fighters are on the BoxNation late night Bute undercard tomorrow in the shape of Allan Green and Steve Molitor.
Green is a man who is basically a fighter who will look a million dollars against opponents a few leagues below him but when he steps up to the plate is heart and commitment to the cause lets him down and he fights a terrible fight.
He is looking to get his career back on track against former IBF challenger Sebastian Demers and while Green is the deserved favourite he is a guy who can just as easy fail to get up for teh challenge.
I had Green priced up at 1/3 so the 1-7 price is ludicrous, so it’s just a tiny play of Demer for me.
Steve Molitor is a fighter who I believe is shot and finished. He lost his title recently to Takalani Ndlovu – a fighter who he beat twice recently – and appears to struggle with motivation. He lacks a punch and is facing chinny Sebastian Gaultier.
He is also a short price at 2/11 and I will be backing Gaultier at such huge odds.
finally, make sure you don’t miss the exciting Pier Oliver Cole in action. He is a big punching, fast light welterweight and faces his first test in the shape of the rugged Jorge Teron. I have a personal rule of opposing prospects in their first test and either Cole blows him away inside of 3 rounds or Teron proves too much of a test and at 4/1 I’m prepared to bet it’s the latter.
