Escobar has lots going for him in Golden Mile

The in-form Escobar looks to have plenty going for hime one to be on at 8/1 in the Golden Mile Handicap at Goodwood today (3.00).

He is now able to race off 1lb lower having posted fine efforts following a break.

In the first of those at Sandown, Escobar was slowly away before finishing with a rattle to be baeten1 1/4 lengths by Mojito in the 13-runner Coral Challenge.

It was huge run given how the race panned out and he has since gone on to score in fime style at Haydock when cleverly beating Rise Hall by 3/4 of a length.

Escobar was given an ice cool ride by Jamie Spencer, and afterchallenging on the bit two from how only had to be shakem up to assert close home and score with tons in hand off a mark of 100.

He is due to race of 104 in the future as a result, so is 3lb well-in at the weights and that makes him a huge player from a handicapping perspective the 22-runner line up.

Escobar also has proven form in big field handicaps, is ideally suited by a strong run race, and Spencer is once again in the saddle and the ideal partner for him.
