Go get the 13/2 about Gaz

Gazboolou looks value at 13/2 to bounce back from a slightly below par effort last time out and land the 4.15 at Kempton today.

David Pinder’s gelding ended a long losing run when scoring at Wolverhampton back in August and had put to together a string of good efforts since before his latest run at Lingfield.

He raced too freely for my liking that day before weakening two from home to be beaten 3 lengths into 7th of 11 behind Blue Deer.

I am inclined to forgive him that effort and on his runs prior to that he had been shaping as if he was capable of getting in the winners’ enclosure again.

The seven-year-old finished a highly creditable staying on third third of 12 to Mounrath over course and distance off today’s mark of 57, and got beat just a nose of the same rating at Lingfield by Bold Ring when getting collared right on the line.

A reproduction of those efforts would give him every chance in this line-up, and what is particularly interesting is that Richard Kingscote is back in the saddle this afternoon.

He was aboard when the selection last scored, and significantly it is the only time he has partnered the selection in his career.

That suggests that connections mean business this afternoon, and at 13/2 he looks an each-way steal.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts each-way Gazboolou (13/2 generally available – use BOG firms)
