Goals on the menu at the Emirates

Arsenal take on Spurs in the London derby at the Emirates today (4pm KO, Live on Sky Sports 1) and over 2.5 goals looks the standout punt at 8/11 with BetVictor.

It is an ouctome which has happened in 13 of the last 14 league matches between the pair, and this fixture has seen the Gunners come out on top 5-2 on the last two occasions.

If forced to choose between the pair this afternoon I would slightly favour Arsenal at a top priced 6/5 with Boylesports, Ladbrokes and Paddy Power as I feel that they will been keen to turn on the style and beat their arch rivals to apease their fans in some way for once again having made no key signings in the transfer window.

If they don’t win this then supporters will be baying for Arsene Wenger’s blood, and the manager is sure to have installed into his side just how important this game is in the overall scheme of things.

The loss of Lukas Podolski through injury is certainly something which Arsenal could do without going into this, but I still feel they have enough talent to come out on top in what promises to be a hard fought and highly charged affair.

Aaron Ramsey is playing right at the top of his game at present and looks decent value at 7/1 with Hills to score anytime.

Another bet that looks worth a each-way wager is backing Per Mertesacker each-way in the first goalscorer market at a general price of 33/1 as he scored in both meetings between the two sides last year.
