Hidden Belief hot stuff at 9/2

Hidden Belief has some rock solid form to her name at Kempton and is strongly fancied at 9/2 to land the 9.10 there tonight.

Ralph Beckett’s filly shaped with bags of promise on her racecourse debut last year when a length runner-up to subsequent UAE Oaks winner Shuruq (now officially rated 110) over course and ditance a and was far from disgarced on her only other start as a juvenile when 6th of 11 to Shy Bride at Lingfield when beaten just under 3 lengths.

She then ran well on her first two starts this season when 4th of 14 to Mango Diva over today’s course and distance in a strong race which has worked out well (winner gone on to land listed contest and now rated 98) and 7th of 15 to Broadway Duchess at Newmarket.

The daughter of Holy Roman Emporer then opened her account in facile style when making all to win a 7f maiden at Chepstow by 7 lengths from Martial Art and was allotted an opening handicap mark of 75 on the back of that success.

Although she could finish just 6th of 9 to Shesastar on her handicap bow at Doncaster, she showed up well for much of the 7f contest and was far from disgraced in being beaten 3 3/4 lengths.

She then ran a cracker when returned to this venue last time out when beaten just 1/2 a length by Athletic in a driving finish off a mark of 73, and although 2lb higher should be more than capable of winning races of her current mark judged on her run behind Mango Diva.

Another plus is that her three runs at the track have all been really solid efforts, and she clearly handles this surface very well.

Her handler also boasts a terrific near 29% strike rate with his runners at the track, and she also has the services of Jim Crowley in the saddle (20% strike rate at the venue) plus a good draw to exploit in stall 4.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Hidden Belief (9/2 BetVictor, Boylesports, Hills – BOG)
