Le Chat D’or has condtiions to suit in the 2.00 at Nottingham today and rates a solid each-way punt at 8/1.

Michael Dods’ gelding is a usefulk sort when the mud is flying as he showed when regsitering his last success at Ayr three starts back in a class 3 contest.

He kept on strongly from off the pace that day to forge clear inside the last and win easing down by 2 3/4 lengths from Suits Me off a mark of 76.

The five-year-old got put up 6lb for that success, and although he disappointed next time up on good going at Ripon he shaped far better last time out at Ayr on soft ground when keeping on in eye-catching style to finish sixth of 14 to Dream Walker.

It was a run which suggested his current mark isn’t beyond him when he gets his ideal conditions and he certainly has those today.

Given the ease he won at Ayr he should be really competitive in this lower grade class 4 contest, and I think he represents good value againt the jolly Amulet who is turned out quickly under a penalty in his hat-trick bid and is going up in grade.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts each-way Le Chat D’or (8/1 Boylesports – BOG)
