Moidore takes a drop in class in the 3.50 at Newcastle today and with underfoot conditions to suit is strongly fancied at 7/1 to take advantage and land the spoils.

They included a 6 length second of 15 to Well Shrap in a class 3 contest onsoft at York off 89 and a decent fourth of 13 to Master Pigeon in a similar grade affair at Ayr on testing conditions off 90.
The five-year-old was also far from disgraced when 10th of 33 to Scatter Dice in the class 2 Cesarewitch at Newamrket off 90, and now gets into this lower grade class 4 contest off 83.
That is just 3lb higher than whne last successful in the mud at Hamilton back in Seprember 2012, and gives the gelding major claims at the weights.
Taking jockey Ian Brennan’s 3lb claim into account he is on his last winning mark, and with the soft ground holding this looks a good opportunity for him to get back to winning ways.
