Tatlisu caught the eye last time out and looks worth siding with at 8/1 in the Scottish Stewards’ Cup at Hamilton this evening (7.40).

Richard Fahey’s charge has some very useful form to his name in ultra-competitive handicaps and was last successful when bearing George Bowen by a head in the 25-runner Ayr Silver Cup last September off a mark of 87.

He went on to round off 2015 withy a solid fourth of 19 to Shared Equity at York off 103 and is now able to race in this off 98.

That is just 1lb higher than when last victorious and gives him major claims at the weights on the pick of his form.

The six-year-old also has the services in the saddle of Adam McNamara who is terrific value for his 5lb claim and comes into the race having shaped really well when doing all his best work at the finish to be beaten 2 1/2 lengthsinto fourth behind Hoof It at Haydock.

That was his first run after a break and Tatlisu should now be spot on to do himself justice.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Tatlisu (8/1 bet365, Betfred, BetVictor, Coral – BOG)
