The gelding finished runner-up in a point-to-point and showed bits of promise in three starts over hurdles for Nigel Twiston-Davies is some very competitive affairs.
He caught the eye on his debut when fading late on to finish 5th of 11 to No Secrets at Folkestone and was then very highly tried in races won by Sprinter Scare and Red Merlin.
Although never sighted in those two contests this is far more his level and he could be potentially well treated from an opening handicap mark of 102 now upped in trip.
He has also joined the shrewd Fergal O’Brien yard who have saddled five winners and seven placed horses from just 26 runners.
Connections have certainly found a weak race to make his handicap debut, and it would be no surprise to see him go in at the first time of asking for a yard in flying form.
