Well-treated Poppy worth a punt at 15/2

No Poppy has slipped to a career-low mark and looks decent value at 15/2 to take advanatge in the  in the 3.10 at Haydock today

Tim Easterby’s mare is on a long losing run having not scored since landing a 13-runner handicap at York back on October 2012.

However that run came in a class 2 contest off a mark of 88 where she ran on strongly to beat Credit Swap by 1 1/4 lengths, and she now gets into this class 5 contest off just 69.

That gives the six-year-old a big shout at the weights, and she also ran well last season to finish runner-up off marks of 78 and 83.

No Poppy also ran well three starts back when keeping on to finish third to Flycatcher at Thirsk, and was far from disgraced last time out when fifth of 9 to Maiden Approach at Redcar.

She now meets the winner on 4lb better terms for just over a 2 lengths beating, and with Robert Winston now taking over in the saddle it woul be no suprise to see her reverse the placings and score an overdue success.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win No Poppy (15/2 bet365 – BOG)
