Miss Sheridan weighted to go well at Haydock

Miss Sheridan has become dangerously well treated and looks worth a wager at 8/1 in the 2.00 at Haydock today.

Mick Easterby’s filly was last successful in a class 4 at Carlisle 13 months ago when scoring by 3/4 of a length off a mark of 74.

She backed that up with a solid second over this course and distance off a rating of 76.

Miss Sheridan has been largely out of form since with her best effort coming three starts back when runner-up at Wolverhampton off 66.

However, her mark has continued to fall and she is now able to race off just 64 – a massive 10lb lower than when last victorious.

It gives her major claimms from a handicapping perspective on the pick of her form and having raced in a class 4 contest last time out she now drops back down into class 5 company in which she has won twice and been placed three times in nine starts.

With her stable also amongst the winners she could take some pegging back if the usual front running tactics are employed.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Miss Sheridan (8/1 BetVictor, Boylesports. Coral, Ladbrokes – BOG)
