Havana Go caught the eye last time out and makes plenty of appeal at 8/1 in the 4.45 at Ayr today now stepped back up in trip from what looks a potentially lenient mark.

This three-year-old has only had five starts and ran well to be placed on two occasions in Ireland last season when in trained by David Marnane.

In the first of those over 7f at Dundalk, Havana Go kept on to finish a 5 3/4 length third of 14 to Sip Of Dreams.

The winner, to whom he was conceding 5lb, is a useful filly who landed a Listed contest at the Curragh recently off an official rating of 102 and the runner-up Port Lions had some solid form to his name and has since landed his maiden success off 82.

That gives the form a solid look in relation to this class 5 affair and suggests that Havana Go’s current mark of 70 is exploitable.

He shaped really well of ut in a 6f contest here on his first start for Keith Dalgleish when staying on strongly from well off the pace to finish a 3 1/2 length fourth of 12 to Inexes following a 130 day break and the step back up to 7f is sure to suit.

If building on that Havana Go looks to hold leading claims of opening his account.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts ecah-way Havana Go (8/1 bet365 – BOG)
