Badilou has caught the eye on more than one occasion and looks worth a bet to finally come good in the 4.10 at Towcester today.

The gelding was a hurdles winner in France who started life off in handicaps over the smaller obstacles for Martin Hill on a harsh mark of 110.

He ran a decent race off 105 when fourth on his second start for Hill and is now able to race off a much reduced rating of 77.

That is a much more feasible and workable mark and after finishing a not knocked about sixth on chasing debut at Newton Abbot he put in a much improved effort at Worcester when third of 12 to Jack The Snipe.

Badilou was also in the process of running a huge race three starts back when coming to grief at the fourth last at Ludlow when travelling strongly and yet to be asked a serious question.

He looked likely to land a gamble. and although then disappointing next time up over hurdles he put in a much improved effort last time out when a tenderly handled staying on third in a handicap chase at Chepstow.

To me he finished with running left in him and he should be more than capable of winning a race of this natire off his current rating.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Badilou (9/2 Paddy Power – BOG)
