Marilyn has been given a chnace by the handicapper and looks worth siding with at 11/2 in the 4.40 at Yarmouth today.

Chris Wall’s filly opened her account at the track on her final start in 2016 when staying on strongly to land a class 6 maiden by 2 1/4 lengths.

She was allotted an opening handicap of 73 on the back of that victory but has failed to trouble the judged in five starts this season.

However, she shaped better than the bare result suggests in the last of those at Kempton when sixth of 13 to Evening Hill having been poorly placed.

She has since beem dropped another 2lb to 61 and that makes her a big player at the weights in this.

Mariyln also now drops down into class 6 conmpany for the first time since winning herd maiden having competed in class 4/5 affairs.

She also now gets the cheekpieces fitted for the first time and has the promising George Wood in the saddle taking off another 3lb with his claim.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Marilyn (11/2 generally available – use BOG firms)
