Serotonin is the bodies key antidepressant chemical and one of the major reasons people feel happy and relaxed after having sex. Sexually active people in long term relationships are also less likely to feel depressed than people that go without sex.
Sex can also help to get rid of headaches. This is because making love causes a surge of the love hormone oxytocin plus other feel good endorphin’s which can help to ease pain. This is actually scientifically proven, and people use this as a pain relief during labor, not the having sex part, but doing other things that release these same hormones, endorphin’s is actually in the same family as morphine but its suppose to be even more powerful. So there you have it.
Men who enjoy regular sex once they hit their 50’s are at a lower risk of developing prostate cancer. This is because sex clears the prostate of toxins that could otherwise linger and trigger cancerous changes. This was first recognised after several studies showed that monks appeared to have a much higher chance of developing prostate cancer.
Extensive research has found older men and women with an active sex life looked, five to seven years younger. You don’t have to be at it every night to enjoy these youth enhancing effects. The quality of your sex is much more important than the quantity. The anti-ageing benefits are stronger if the sex is classed as loving.
Studies have found the more sex you have the better quality your sperm will be. So if your trying for a baby keep your sperm or partners sperm in tip top condition by having sex at least twice a week. The quality of the sperm greatly decreased after 10 days of not having sex. Also frequent sex also helps to balance womens hormones which regulates their periods which can further boost your chances of conceiving.
We are now in fully fledged cold and flu season, want to lower your chances of catching it? Yes you’ve guessed have sex!!! The more regular you have it the more your body raises the levels of the antibody that fights cold and flus.
A study carried out in Australia found people who climaxed at least three times a week had a 50% lower chance of dying for medical reasons than those who climaxed once a week.
Lots of studies have found having regular sex can ward off heart attacks. One study even showed that having sex three times a week could halve your risk of a heart attack or stroke.
The hormone oestrogen is pumped out during sex which in turn can have a plumping effect on the skin, which helps smooth out those lines.

1. Work those quads, this is for the women, get on top of your man kind of in a squatting position, not very sexy but its great for working that thigh area. When your in this positions because your legs are apart the deeper you can go, so beneficial all round.
2. Now one for the men, get into the missionary position, put your hands either side of your partner but instead of having them straight slightly bend your arms, this will get your chest muscles working.
3. Work those arms, this is a tricky position but get into the standing position, men pick your woman up and wrap her legs around you, this will really work those arms and lets face it, its a fun position as well.
4. The bridge, the woman is facing upwards, using her legs and arms to hold her body weight off the bed. This position is quite hard so you probably need some physical strength to start with. To help slightly you can put loads of pillows underneath you up to your back to give you a little bit of support. This will really work your bottom and thighs, as well as your arms. You should start to notice a burn after a few minutes.
