Tommy Taylor has slipped to a handy mark and makes plenty of appeal at 10/1 in the 1.55 at York today.

Kevin Ryan’s charge has notched both his career successes over course and distance. In the last of those 11 months ago he beat Downforce by a nose in the listed Garrowby Stakes off an official rating of 100.

he got put up to 107 for that win and went on to round off the campaign with a 7 3/4 length seveth of 10 to Blue Pint in a Group 3 at Ascot.

The four-year-0old has had just four starts this season and posted an improved effort last time out when a keeping on 3 3/4 lengtn fifth of 14 to Flying Pursuit at this venue.

That was a big step back in the right direction and Tommy Taylor has since been dropped another 1lb. Having started the season on a makr of 107 he is now able to quickly race off just 97 and that makes him look potentially very well-trared on the pick of his form at a track which brings out the best in him.

If building on his latest effort he looks weighted to run a huge race under Tom Eaves.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Tommy Taylor (10/1 bet365, Coral, Labrokes – BOG)
